Left 4 Dead II is a first person shooter game by Valve and Electronic Arts. Game was released on 17 November in 2009 for Microsoft Windows which is PC and for Xbox-360. Game was also released for OS X and Linux afterwards. Game focuses on cooperative gameplay. Game is the sequel to its predecessor Left 4 Dead that was a game with the same genre and with the same gameplay. Game includes four survivors who are standing between piles of infected people who tries to kill you and infect you. Player must make a perfect plan to dodge them. Game features five new campaigns with completely different stories that player can complete with different difficulty levels. Each survivor must reach a safe zone after the match starts and would try to get to safe zone quickly with most points so that to acquire the first rank. There are some missions where player must call for rescue operation or hunt for food and medicines or weapons. Survivor can carry equipments but one survivor can carry only one gadget at a time. Weapons in the game are divided into tiers such as in first tier there are SMGs, chrome shotguns, pistols etc while in second tier there are a little heavy weapons. On the screen, each survivor's health bar is visible that indicates the player that which fellow survivor need help or assistance. Suppose a survivor dies, he/she will be dead for the whole level unless the next level starts. There are four modes in the game namely survival, scavenge, campaign and versus. In versus mode, two or more players are assigned infected people and these players must prevent the survivors from reaching the safe zone. By doing so, points are earned and at the end of the level, the player with the most kills is awarded by some new weapons etc. In campaign mode, player must complete the game like a story where several events occur. In survival mode, players must attempt to kill waves of enemies to get to the safe zone before the time ticks to zero. In scavenge mode, four players challenges other four players in a level where they must find fuel thanks a fill up a generator. The first team to complete the task is announced winner of the level. Game features a fully realistic environment where players are free to do any type of activity. More enhanced graphics have been added to game with new and mastered and user friendly controls that could be customized too. The artificial intelligence engine of the game is more versatile then the old one and it provides the CPU players a more real approach and gives the player a real environment.
