Max Payne is a shooting game developed by Rockstar Games and published by EA. Game was initially released on 31 July in 2001. Game features a third-person shooting perspective where players take control of the main character of the game "Max Payne", who is a NYPD detective. He witnesses his family being murdered, so he seeks revenge from the murderers. At that night as max enters his home, he comes to know that someone has broke into his house, so he rushes to aid his family and kill every single person who comes in between him and his family but its too late. His wife is murdered and child is killed by someone. He accepts the offer of Alex of transferring himself to DEA to stop drug dealers and to find the person who is behind the killing of his family. Game involves a bullet time system with which every bullet hitting the enemy can be seen in a dramatic and zoomed view which makes the gameplay more thrilling. With bullet time system, player can perform some super action kills by killing the enemies in a slow motion view. All new set of weapons has been added to game which upgrades each time player completes a mission. Weapons including pistols, shotguns, molotov, grenades, uzi, SMG, and others can be taken from enemies who are dead. Game's AI has been enhanced for more thrilling gameplay. Player can take cover in some shoot-outs. Player can upgrade his/her health by taking the pain killers which could be equipped from some places in the game. New game modes including dead or arrival, New York minute, the last challenge, final battle, end combat and many modes has been added to game in which player is challenged for more difficult situations. Game consists of a chapter system through which all the game is distributed into chapters which the player must complete in order to progress in the game. Game can be saved or loaded at any point in the game with which player can complete chapters more efficiently. Graphics and visuals are being enhanced for more real approach to game's gameplay. New sound effects added to game which reveals the theme of the game more effectively.
