God Of War is an action-adventure game published by Sony Computers and developed by SCE Studios. Game was initially released on 22 March 2005 for Playstaion 2. Game features a third person perspective gameplay where player takes on the main character of the game named Kratos, a sparta warrior. Player can perform such combat and defending moves never seen before. Game has an ultimate engine for levels. Game has a level based storyline with which the player move through several missions to complete the game. Player can climb walls, ladders and could jump from one wall to another, swing on ropes and can balance on many objects. Some levels also include puzzles which player must solve in order to progress in the level. These puzzles need a specific strategy to solve them. New set of weapons has been added to the game which the player can use against the enemies. Players primary weapon are the blades of chaos which are a pair of blades loaded with destructive powers which the player can use against enemies. The blades can swing around the player in order to keep the enemies away from hurting or beating the player. Player can use additional spells and powers such as striking lighting on enemy spots and similar activities. New sensitive damage system has been added to the game with which player can perform such kills which could not be done in any other game. Player has a health bar which can be recharged by consuming more and more chests. Graphics and visuals are set to ultra level with which the game becomes more real. Player can also perform combos and other moves. Once the game is completed, new modes are added to the game including ten trials mode, in which the player must complete a specific task in a given task such as killing waves of enemies in a given time and similar tasks. Each time the player completes the game, new additional content is added to the game's menu. Kratos is a warrior who serves the Gods of Olympus. He was once a captain in Spartan's army. He became death and was called by the God of War Ares who promised Kratos that if he serves him, he will provide the power to destroy the enemies facing his men. Kratos accepted his offer and was rewarded with the Blades of Chaos which are the mightiest weapon against enemies. Kratos heads to take revenge from the barbarian king who cheated and killed his men. Kratos attack on a village where Ares secretly transported Kratos wife and child and who were dead in the attack. Ares does this act wishing that with this act, Kratos can become a perfect warrior. Kratos was then cursed by the villagers, turning him into a ash-white creature and was named "Ghost of Sparta" as he killed his own family and other innocent people.
